AyurMap Privacy Policy

Effective October 10, 2026 · Applies to the AyurMap app for iPhone and iPad, published by the AyurMap team ("we", "us").

The short version: AyurMap does not collect any data. There is no account, no server, no analytics and no ads. Everything you enter stays on your device.

1. Data we collect

None. AyurMap does not collect, transmit, sell or share personal data. We (the developer) never receive your profile, check-ins, meals, saved items, notes or any other information you enter in the app.

2. What stays on your device

To work, the app stores the following locally on your device only:

your profile and quiz answers,
daily check-ins, meal logs, saved suggestions and notes,
app settings such as your reminder time and display preferences.

This information is not synced to iCloud or to any server operated by us. It may be included in your own device backups (for example, an encrypted iCloud or computer backup you make of your device), which are governed by Apple and by your own settings.

3. No accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking

There is no sign-up or login.
The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, and it does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA).
The app does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
The app does not access HealthKit, your location, camera, photos, microphone or contacts.
The "Ask" feature works entirely on your device from fixed templates. Your questions are not sent anywhere.

4. Notifications

If you turn on an optional reminder (the daily check-in reminder, or the Premium evening close reminder), iOS asks for permission to show notifications. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. You can turn them off in the app or in iOS Settings at any time.

5. Sharing you choose

You can share your weekly summary using the iOS share sheet. Nothing is shared unless you choose to do so, and whatever you share is then handled by the app or person you send it to.

6. Purchases

Subscriptions are bought and managed through Apple's App Store. Payment and billing information is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive your payment details. The app checks your subscription status with Apple's StoreKit on your device to unlock Premium features. We may see aggregated, anonymous sales reports from Apple that do not identify you.

7. Deleting your data

Because your data exists only on your device, you control it. Deleting AyurMap from your device permanently removes all of its data (apart from any device backups you have made). There is nothing for us to delete on our side.

8. Children

AyurMap is a general-audience wellness app. Because the app collects no data, we do not collect information from children of any age.

9. Health information disclaimer

AyurMap is a general wellness and routine reference inspired by Ayurveda. It is not medical advice and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. It does not recommend herbs, supplements or dosing. Always talk to a qualified health professional about medical questions, and call your local emergency number in an emergency.

10. Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change, for example if a feature ever needs to send data off your device, we will update this page and the effective date above before that change ships.
